June & Ivis Cumbey Memorial Community Garden
Founded in 2007 to honor local gardeners, June & Ivis Cumbey and share the garden with the community. Through the years local church and school groups help maintain the garden, but everyone is welcome to participate. You may also get your own garden space in return for tending the garden.
Foods grown are donated to the local food pantry and senior citizen center, as harvested.
The garden meets weekly, Thursdays at 6:30PM until dark to tend the garden, weather permitting.
All gardeners are encouraged to participate in the beautification of the garden to make it a place of peace and solace in our busy community.
